i’ve known whitney for many years – we’re both from wausau, went to all the same schools, and she has always been such a sweet girl! we were so excited when her and her boyfriend, ben, took us up on our valentine’s day sweetheart session. right away, i knew the smiles + personality they were going to bring along would be incredibly photogenic. we met in hudson, wi last saturday and probably could have taken their picture all day long! thanks for a fun session, you two :)
while i was driving back to woodbury after spending a week in my hometown of wausau wisconsin, i had a sudden urge to take a pit-stop for a photography walk with our newest lens, which i am madly in love with. here is what my walk through downtown hudson looked like!

I love Hudson!!! My favorite chocolate covered cherries are there at Kottke’s I think is what they are called!! They have milk chocolate and dark chocolate covered and some have carmel inside too!!! Ph HEAVEN!!

i hope everyone had a lovely day with their valentine yesterday! i spent most of the day at wausau’s brides and beyond bridal expo meeting tons of b+g’s “to-be” :) butch and i weren’t able to celebrate the day together, but he sent me a beautiful display of my favorite flowers from my favorite florist – thank you to butch for being an amazing husband who always knows how to make me smile! and to mike at evolutions for your consistently gorgeous work.

this past friday i went to mary kate’s gorgeous lake home with a mission of providing her with casual and polished portraits for her us on social media. with many laughs and stories in between, i think we achieved just that!
