nikkor 50mm f/1.4, meet our other weakness: pottery! aside from the excitement of the new baby lens we just welcomed into our household, we often usher in a new piece of pottery or five. here’s a glimpse at a few recent additions to the mccartney family. i didn’t photograph my absolute favorite mug because, not surprisingly, i was busy sipping coffee from that structurally perfect moss green beauty. just playing and thought it would be fun to share :)
as emily dickinson once said: “dwell in possibility”
to me, this means breaking down the walls we have all built up around us + thinking optimistically about our dreams. dwelling in the possibility that maybe they aren’t just dreams, but an upcoming reality. there is nothing more exciting than the idea of being surrounded by possibility, just as there is nothing more contagious than an outstanding attitude. my goal is to live a life of possibility and i am going to make sure that every day something is done to bring me closer to my dreams.
thanks for listening to my little optimism blurb, and i hope you’ll join me on this quest!
don’t mind me, just having a little fun with the photobooth :)

this always happens: it’s a new year and i vow to try umpteen new recipes each week! yes, it’s fun and exciting at first but then it becomes an addiction. i mean, life’s too short to eat grilled cheese and soup every night. so, here’s a glimpse at what we’ve got cooking: cheesy vegetable pasta a la “real simple” + jell-o raspberry mousse cups – because raspberry is always better than strawberry!

kaitlan and jason were such an awesome b+g! they were married on new years eve at the american club in kohler, wi and WOW – gorgeous does not even begin to describe how incredible their wedding day was. i mean the place was just beautiful, all of the details, all of the clocks, and all of the silver sparkles filled the ballroom with excitement! not to mention, both of their families were so great and we had a blast ringing in the new year with them. it was an honor to be part of your special day, k+j!

Gorgeous! – there is simply no other word for the two of you on that wonderful night!
yesterday was one of those dreary sundays, wasn’t feeling quite 100%, nothing sounded exciting for dinner, didn’t sleep well the night before… you know, that kind of sunday… we all have them once and awhile. then, out of nowhere, my day lit up + completely turned around all because someone shared their light – i’d like to share my pretty flowers and thank my hubby for making my day + for always being such a positive, caring and inspirational person in my life :) and to any boyfriend/girlfriend, fiance/fiancee, wife/husband reading this — why not bring your favorite person some flowers today? in the midwest it’s definitely a nice gesture since we aren’t seeing any kind of color/greenery outdoors anytime soon!
